WHAT'S THIS?

Having been immersed in memoir writing for many months, I decided to write a small poem every day for a year to keep my poetic hand in. I've posted them to Instagram and facebook as written – where, to my amazement, people love them – but on this blog they are sometimes subject to later rewriting.

Deathbeds, ghosts ...

 

Deathbeds, ghosts, books we’re writing,

books we’re reading, our living spaces, cats,

the correct pronunciation of ‘queynte’ (oh, 

we know what it means), reincarnation

and whether there’s a Hell, certain men

we think well of, from Chaucer to Che … 

between hugs, a few tears, much laughter, 

good food and wine, we had plenty to say.
