My students bring simple, healthy food
beautifully presented, to share. They bring
their soft hearts and bright minds to share.
The day grows colder, but our hands
warm to the work. When we part again,
at the end of the day, it’s with kisses.

A piece of verse a day? (Not sure
I can call them all poems.) For once I miss.
Yesterday was both sweet and intense.
Working with powerful energies,
we found oursleves sharing deep truths.
Back home, I assemble notes,
create certificates, make phone calls
for feedback, to friends whom my students
treated 'remotely’ across distance. (Yes,
it’s all positive, confirming effectiveness –
that never fails.) I fall into bed at last
and sleep sound. This, tonight, is
last night’s poem. Now to make today’s.
My books arrive
from the printer.
My footy team
wins spectacularly.
I celebrate with a nice
organic rosé.
Tomorrow I’m teaching
a class in Reiki II,
with students I already
know and love.
My tiny life, tonight
feels very good.
