The ads on Instagram keep offering advice
as to what clothes women over 50 should wear.
I think, by 50, a woman must surely have gained
not the courage (that too) so much as the wisdom
to wear any damn thing she likes
so long as it pleases – delights – her.
If the young are disapproving, strait-laced,
one can only hope they may yet grow out of it.
Two for the price of one today! I couldn't resist a little rant
about this pathetic nonsense.
